Re-Claimed Sofa Table...Iron, Stone and Wood

Sofa Table
$349.
F.O.B. The Dalles, Oregon

100% Re-Claimed Sofa Table.  The iron base was fished out of an alley dumpster.  The legs were bent out of shape.  The table top was destroyed and one piece of the glass top was broken while the other piece of glass was missing.  The wood framework was refinished, trimmed out to permit a nice fit for some stone tile and satin lacquered.  A discarded slab of wood from some old kitchen shelves was secured underneath the top with some recaptured screws to support the stone tile.  The stone tiles were discarded from a bank remodel project.  They were trashed because their edges were chipped too badly for the floor installation.

All of the glue, screws, sand paper, stain and lacquers are re-claimed products found in various second hand stores or trash containers.  Looking underneath the table will reveal their authentic nature.

Bent back into shape, leveled, recombined and finished very nicely, this table is ready to go back to a nice place and serve its duty well.

GOOD IDEA!:

This 're-claimed' sofa table would be an excellent choice for an eatery to use as a display station for their recycling storage disposal section.  For those great eateries who exhibit how well they help to clean up the landfills, this would be an excellent item to use to house those marketing features, especially if the table busing is a self-serve procedure of the restaurant.  Just place a sign on the table describing how important 'recycling' and 're-claimed' items are to our environment.  It will help to boost the image of your eatery establishment.  Good idea!
