In a second hand store, buried beneath a pile of rubble, was this discarded brass wood bin. It was located in a tightly arranged isle for its display spot, visible, but obscure. The glass top was a discarded 'unwanted' piece stored in a cardboard box hidden in storage above a furniture store. The date on the shipping box showed the 70's. It may have been a factory sent replacement top for one that was broken some years ago. It obviously was no longer needed.
Both cleaned up pretty well. Turning the wood bin on its side provided the perfect base for this discarded glass top. The brass wood bin has been used heavily in its past and sports some very cool wear lines! It has some very nice riveted brads located on the belly of the bin to go with all four of its remaining brass legs. The handle is in great condition! It gathers a lot of wonderful comments in the showroom.
Great Idea!
Use this sofa table in your food establishment where your recycling station is located. It needs its story printed nearby so the patrons can appreciate your efforts to help keep the planet green! As a restaurant business marketing piece, it becomes a very nicely placed tax deduction, too! It is good to think about these things.
